Lady Tigers Get Into Win Column vs. Brashear

After a disappointing 0-2 start to the softball season, Scotland County picked up its first win August 30th with an 8-0 demolition of Brashear.

Ashley Ellison was a perfect 3-3 at the plate to lead a balanced offense. The senior left fielder scored a pair of runs in the game.

“We have girls up and down the order that can hit the ball,” Coach Terri Slaughter stated. “This is probably the most balanced lineup we’ve had.”

Rebecca Consbrock was 2-3 at the plate with two runs scored. Ali Fromm went 1-2 with a walk and a pair of runs tallied. Jamie Fuller drove in two runs with a triple as she finished the night 1-2.

Consbrock picked up the victory on the mound. The senior hurler was perfect through five innings on the way to her first win of the year.
