Consbrock Blanks Canton In 4-0 Softball Victory

Just three base runners is not going to get the job done. Canton learned that fact September 30, as the Scotland County softball team traveled to the river city and took a 4-0 victory.

SCR-I hurler Rebecca Consbrock allowed just two hits and three base runners total in the shutout. The senior struck out 12 Canton batters. She had a perfect game through four innings.

Scotland County took the lead in the third inning. Ashley Ellison walked and Kaela Cook was hit by a pitch. The Lady Tigers took advantage of the pitcher’s wildness. Valerie Crawford delivered both runners home with a base hit. She came around to score on a base knock by Ali Fromm to make the score 3-0.

The Lady Tigers tacked on a little insurance in the fourth inning when Kirsten Johnston scored to make it 4-0.
