Local Woman Hurt In Crash On Highway 15

A Memphis woman sustained minor injuries in a one-car accident on Highway 15, south of Memphis at 2:10 p.m. January 27th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Verna Purvis, 83, was northbound on Highway 15, seven miles south of Memphis, when the 1989 Buick she was driving went off the west side of the road and struck a ditch.

Purvis was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department.
