Arrest Made In Fairgrounds Vandalism Case

A 15-year-old juvenile is facing charges in a vandalism case at the Scotland County Fairgrounds.

According to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department, the juvenile was allegedly behind the wheel of the car that struck the gates at the south entrance to the fairgrounds causing extensive damage to the posts and fence.

The sheriff’s department conducted a number of interviews regarding the case and checked auto body shops in the tri-state area seeking the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run. The case was resolved through an investigation in Iowa.
