P.E.O. Makes Donation To S. C. Cancer Fund

P.E.O. Chapter C presented Chris Tinkle a donation to the Scotland County Cancer Fund. The SC Cancer Fund theme “Neighbors helping Neighbors” is what the not-for-profit corporation is all about. Through donations by individuals, families, businesses and organizations like P.E.O., the SC Cancer Fund collects and distributes funds to Scotland County residents who have been diagnosed with cancer. Funds are available to help defray costs associated with cancer treatment, transportation, medication and other non-covered expenses. All monies collected are distributed locally.

For more information, to make a donation, or volunteer contact any of the following board members associated with the SC Cancer Fund organization, Margaret Curry 465-7275, David Trueblood 465-8501, Kim Nicoli 465-7753, Chris Tinkle 465-7322, or Brenda Wilson 465-8921.

There will be a SC Cancer Fund ham and bean supper and auction held in the Memphis VFW on April 9th at 6:00 p.m. This is open to the public and anyone who would like to donate items to be sold for the auction may contact one of the above board members.
