Memphis Police Investigating Theft of Trailer and Race Car

A car trailer loaded with a race car chassis was stolen from RaceMart during the evening hours of March 25th or the early morning hours of March 26th. According to the Memphis Police Department the red car trailer was parked behind the racing parts store at the time of the theft.

The car trailer has a toolbox on the front, dual tire racks and aluminum decking. The trailer was equipped with early-model Plymouth hubcaps and also was adorned with #21 magnet decals from Monroe Racing.

There was a rolling late model race car chassis on the trailer. The chassis had a red and yellow body bearing the number 5M.

The thief or thieves also made off with a 9-inch floater rear end for a race car.

The police department is requesting public assistance in solving this crime. Anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area during the time frame of the crime is asked to contact the office at 660-465-2611. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen property is also asked to notify the investigators.
