Chamber To Offer ‘Sweets and Treats’ at Art Festival

An Evening of Sweets and Treats, that’s what Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce President Chuck Kigar says is in store for guests at the group’s second annual Ella Ewing Arts Festival to be held in Memphis next weekend.

The art show and other activities on the Memphis square will be highlighted by the special meal and musical show.

Beginning at 6:00 p.m. ticket holders will be able to enjoy a dessert bar to be held at the Memphis Fire Station. That will be followed by a performance by the Marcoux Corner A Cappella group at the Memphis Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

In only two years as a professional a cappella group, Marcoux Corner has performed more than 300 shows in 14 different states. They capture their listeners with a diverse and unique brand of live entertainment. They have shared the stage with the likes of The Beach Boys and even sang the National Anthem for a visit from President George W. Bush.

The group originates from Minnesota where members Kevin Taylor, Eric Patenaude, Joshua Baesler and Brent Thorson grew up.

Tickets for the event are on sale at Kountry Konnection. Cost is $15. For more information contact Kigar at 660-465-7278.
