Memphis Man Indicted In Adair County

A Memphis man is facing felony charges in Adair County after being indicted on April 28th by an Adair County Grand Jury.

According to the Kirksville Daily Express, Kenneth Nebelong, 42, is facing charges of tampering in the first degree and stealing by deceit, both class C felonies.

The court report indicated that Nebelong was facing the tampering charges following an incident last October when he allegedly took possession of a van in Ottumwa, IA and drove it to Kirksville.

The stealing charge hinges on an alleged agreement by Nebelong to deliver two scrapers to a Baring man. He reportedly received a $2,000 payment and never delivered the machinery.
