Library Summer Reading Program To Begin June 6

The Summer Reading Program, “Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds” will begin at the Scotland County Library on June 6th and continue through July 13th. All children, ages three years through the sixth grade may sign up June 6th or any day throughout the program. Prizes will be awarded to children in each group for library books read.

The opening program will be Alan Cunningham Kid Songs at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 8th. There will be a special storytime each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. throughout the program, with Heidi Triplett from Missouri Extension. The finale will be Wednesday, July 13th, at 10:30 a.m. with “Jeff Campbell the Scottish Bard”. Children of all ages, along with parents and grandparents, are invited to the storytimes.
