Rutledge Girl Injured In Two-Car Crash

A Rutledge teenager suffered minor injuries in a two-car accident in Rutledge at 4:20 p.m. on June 12th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Sara Bruns, 17, was driving a 1995 Pontiac northbound on Route A inside the Rutledge city limits when she attempted to make a U-turn in the roadway. The Bruns vehicle was struck by a northbound 1992 Ford driven by Beulah M. Martin, 20, of Memphis.

Bruns was taken by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Martin was uninjured. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

Bruns was cited for making an improper turn.
