Fair Queen To Be Crowned Opening Night

A new Scotland County Fair Queen will be crowned Monday, July 18th on the opening night of the 2005 Fair.

Four contestants will vie for the title, scholarship money and a chance to compete in the Missouri State Fair queen contest later this summer.

The candidates will perform private interviews beginning at 3:00 p.m. At 4:00 p.m. they will perform for the talent portion of the contest to be followed at 5:00 p.m. by the evening gown event. The latter two portions of the contest will be held in the grandstands and will be open to the public. Organizers anticipate crowning the new 2005 Scotland County Fair Queen at 5:30 p.m.

This year’s participants are Jessica Erwin, Jessica Humes, Angie Bulen and Kelly Cochenour. The winner will be crowned by 2004 Scotland County Fair Queen Lacey Williams.
