Shelleys Named Scotland County Farm Family

The Tony Shelley family is headed to Sedalia next month to represent the community. Tony, wife Theresa and their two daughters, Andrea and Danielle, were named the 2005 Scotland County Farm Family as this year’s fair kicked off Monday night. The life-long county residents were honored in a special ceremony prior to the horse show.

Tony, the son of Robert and Lois Shelley, grew up on the family farm, as did his wife Theresa, the daughter of Arlo and Carolyn Trueblood. They were married in 1984.

Tony continues to farm, raising row crops, cattle and hay while helping with the Trueblood family farm. Theresa, keeps busy on the farm but also owns and operates her own business, Shelley Landscaping.

Danielle is attending Moberly Area Community College while Andrea will be a sophomore at Scotland County R-I High School.
