No Summer Production for Players

The stage will be dark this summer. The Memphis Community Players planned summer musical will not happen. Plans were to do a “Thirty Year Musical Broadway Review”. The music had been selected, practice started, all of that, but time ran out.

The players were working on the program, in fact, practice was three nights a week, before Mark Twain Chorale left for the European tour. But they couldn’t get it ready, when practice began the date was to be the first week in August and as you can tell that will not work this year.

The group is sorry, after 30 years, to not have a production for the area. It just did not work, so they will try to have something this winter at Christmas.
