Two Memphis Businesses Burglarized

The Memphis Police Department is investigating a pair of break-ins at businesses on the city square over the Labor Day weekend.

On Friday, September 2nd, an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the cash register at Red Hot Nails on the northwest corner of the square.

Then sometime between the close of business on Saturday, September 3rd and opening of business on Tuesday, September 6th, Scott’s Home Center was hit with the burglar(s) also getting away with cash from the register.

Investigators reported there were no signs of forced entry at either crime scene.

One of the businesses has insurance coverage that offers a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the crime.

Anyone that saw any suspicious activity at either location at the times in question is asked to contact the police department at 660-465-2612.
