Library Earns $2,100 Grant for Computers

The Missouri State Library awarded Scotland County Memorial Library $2100.00 as part of the Gates Foundation Staying Connected Hardware Upgrade and Replacement Grant Program. LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) funds and Gates Foundation funds were combined to allow libraries to purchase more reliable computers for public use. The State Library funded grantees at 75% of the total cost of the project. Libraries provide a 25% local match.

Seventy-one libraries will receive 658 computers across Missouri through this program. Scotland County Memorial Library used the grant funds to purchase two new public access computers.
