Resurfacing Work To Begin On Highway 15

Beginning, Wednesday, October 19, during the resurfacing of Route 81 in Clark County and Route 15 in Scotland County, crews will be working extended hours during the day from 6 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. until the work is complete.

Traffic will be handled on the existing pavement during the resurfacing operations, but will be restricted to one lane with flaggers controlling traffic through the work zone. Work area lighting will be in place during early morning hours and late evening hours when visibility is limited. Motorists are urged to use caution in and around the work zone. The roadway will be opened to two lanes at the end of each workday. Delays should be expected. MoDOT encourages motorists to allow ample driving time to reach their destination.

The contractor, Bross Construction of Hannibal, expects to be completed by mid-November 2005.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding during construction,” stated MoDOT Customer Service Representative Tana Akright.
