Gorin Woman Life Flighted From Crash Site

A Gorin woman was life flighted to a Kirksville hospital following a two-vehicle accident in Gorin on November 10 at 2:35 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jessica J. Parker, 19, sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was taken by helicopter to Northeast Missouri Regional Medical Center.

Parker was driving a 1995 Ford Mustang westbound on Route A in Gorin when she attempted to put a passenger in a seatbelt. Parker ran a stop sign and was struck in the driver’s side door by a northbound 1996 Plymouth mini-van driven by Candy K. Bass, 49, of Gorin.

Parker’s vehicle continued across the Route A intersection and struck a stop sign.

Bass was not injured in the accident.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Gorin Fire and Rescue Squad, the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department and the ambulance services from Scotland and Clark counties.

The Patrol reported a summons to Parker is pending.
