JACKSON (JACK) WITT CATHCART, JR.

Jackson (Jack) Witt Cathcart, Jr., 64, of Farmington, AR, died at his home on January 15, 2005,

He was born October 27, 1940, in Little Rock, AR, to Jackson Witt Cathcart, Sr. and Rosemary Adele Griffey Cathcart.

He graduated from Mabelvale High School in 1958 and attended the University of Central Arkansas. He served his country for four years in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1963 with a good conduct medal. He was a supervisor for Reynolds Metals in Bauxite, AR, for 18 years and operated an antique business with his wife for more than 10 years. Jack was a member and deacon of Faith Builders Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, AR, which he helped start in August 2004.

He deeply loved the Lord, his family and church and enjoyed collecting antiques, analyzing the stock market, camping, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

His mother Rosemary Adele Cathcart preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Linda J. Racey; father, Jackson Cathcart, Sr. of Sheridan, AR; children, Steven (and Maggie) Cathcart of Little Rock, AR, Abbie Ross of Mayflower, AR, Mary (and Mark) Earnhart of North Little Rock, AR; step-sons, James (and Felicia) Racey of North Little Rock, AR, and Jeff Racey of Fayetteville, AR; a sister, Bobby (and John) Reed of Bauxite, AR; brother, John (and Pat) Cathcart of Sheridan, AR; grandchildren, Aaron and Jessica Deitz, Delanie and Joshua Smith, Kaylee and Benjamin Cathcart; step-grandchildren, Paul and Austin Racey and Axl Racey; and a mother-in-law, Lillian Glasgow.
