Luella J. Edelman, 81, of Monmouth, IL, passed away January 5, 2005, in Methodist Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

She was born September 23, 1923, in Laura, IL, the daughter of Everett G. and Lula Roberts Reinolds.

She married David L. Secrist in 1941 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1945. She married Donald A. Edelman on August 19, 1955 in Hernando, MS. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2001.

Don and Lou moved to Memphis, MO, in 1981. Don was employed by Moore’s Stock Yards. They resided in Memphis until September 2001, moving to Monmouth, IL, due to Don’s failing health.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Steve) Powers of Mahomet, IL, and Sharon (Duane) Mills of Monmouth, IL; one son, Donald (Donna) Secrist of Pinkneyville, IL; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five sisters; two brothers; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, two brothers, and five sisters.

Funeral services were at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, IL, on January 8, 2005. A memorial fund was established.
