KENNETH EARL “KENNY” THRASHER
(2/12/1934 – 3/9/2005)



Kenneth Earl “Kenny” Thrasher, 71, of Memphis, MO, died March 9, 2005, in the Keokuk Area Hospital at Keokuk, IA.

He was born in Scotland County, MO on February 12, 1934, to Lester Earl and Cleo Mae Pedigo Thrasher.

Kenny was a graduate of Bible Grove High School.

On June 30, 1952, he married Margie Corinne Spray in Arkansas. To this union six daughters and one son was born.

Kenny was a member of the Memphis Fire Department for 39 years.

He had been the vending manager for the Pepsi Cola Memphis Bottling Company, where he was employed for the past 51 years. In his spare time Kenny enjoyed woodworking and attending stock car races.

Survivors include his wife; six children, Pattie Kay Robinson and husband, Roger, Kathie Mae Thrasher, Pamela Gay Tripp, all of Memphis, MO, Sandra Fay Thrasher of Gibbs, MO, Johnny Lee Thrasher and wife, Amy of Winter Park, FL, and Melissa Jo Anders and husband, Rusty of Downing, MO; 13 grandchildren, Chris Robinson and wife Laura, Ryan Robinson, Micheal Monroe, Tonya Harrison and husband Randy, Jeremy Robinson, Heather Robinson, Shawn Tarpein, Tiffany and Kenny Cornelison, Austin, Alexa and Andrew Thrasher, and Kaylyn Anders; seven great-grandchildren, Emma Robinson, Cameron, Conner and Carson Harrison, Dillon James, Juston and Brooke Bradshaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Brenda Rae Thrasher; and a grandson, Bradley Jo Anders.

A memorial service was held March 13, 2005, in the Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO, with Brother Jack Sumption officiating. Organist was Joan Hinds. Burial followed the service in the Bible Grove Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy a memorial may be given to the Memphis Fire Department. Memphis Funeral Home of Memphis, MO was in charge of arrangements.
