Phoebe K. Zeiset, 60, of Cantril, IA, passed away April 24, 2005, at her home.

She was born the daughter of Rufus H. and Susie B. (Kurtz) Musser on November 6, 1944, in Brecknock Township in Lancaster Co., PA.

Phoebe married John D. Zeiset on September 3, 1966, in Lebanon, PA. He survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband; sons, John David Zeiset, Jr. and his wife, Rosanna of Memphis, MO, Marlin Ray Zeiset and wife, Corinne of Marlette, MI, Merle Lynn Zeiset and his wife, Charlene of Rutledge, MO, Daniel Mark Zeiset and his wife, Rhoda of Rutledge, MO, Loren Paul Zeiset and his wife, Mary of Cantril, IA, Wilmer Neal Zeiset and his wife, Verna of Wyaconda, MO, Glenn Irvin Zeiset of Snover, MI, Steven Earl Zeiset and Carl Michael Zeiset, both of the home; sisters, Lena Martin and husband, Lester of Lebanon, PA, Emma Wise and husband, Aaron of Lebanon, PA, Orpha Martin and husband, Harvey of Fleetwood, PA; brothers, Rufus K. Musser and wife, Mary Ella of Lebanon, PA, and Alvin K. Musser and wife, Alta of Memphis, MO; and 23 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Zeiset home and then at the Northview Mennonite Cemetery on April 28, 2005, in Scotland County, MO with Abner Oberholtzer, Nelson Martin, Lester M. Martin, Charles Zimmerman, and Luke Fox officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Mervin High, Rufus Musser III, Alvin Musser, Jr., Paul Lehman, Vernon Zeiset, and Fred Zeiset. Burial was in the Northview Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorials have been suggested to the Northview Mennonite Church and can be left at or mailed to Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO 63555. Arrangements were under the direction of the Gerth Funeral Service from their Memphis chapel.
