OLIVE ESTELENE FORRESTER
(3/7/1916 – 5/4/2005)



Olive Estelene Forrester, 89, of Memphis, MO, died May 4, 2005 in Boone Hospital at Columbia, MO.

Olive was born March 7, 1916, in Schuyler County, MO, to Elbert and Pearl Mae Winn Whittom.

She was a graduate of Downing High School, class of 1933.

Olive was united in marriage to George D. Crutcher in Memphis, MO, in 1936. To this union one son, Terry, was born. George died in 1963.

On January 27, 1972, Olive was united in marriage to Paul R. Forrester at Memphis, MO.

Olive was very active and enjoyed making quilts and doing various craft projects. She also collected antiques. She was a bookkeeper at the Bank of Memphis until her retirement in 1978. She also was a waitress at Keith’s Café for many years. She was a member of the Memphis Wallace W. Gillespie Memorial Post #4958 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and first husband, George.

Survivors include her husband, Paul; a son, Terry Crutcher of New London, MO; a sister, Ivalee Crawford and husband, Sam of Memphis, MO; a sister-in-law, Louise Whittom of Cedar Rapids, IA; a niece, Connie Crawford of Columbia, MO, and a nephew, Keith Crawford of Phoenix, AZ; and five grandsons, Ray and wife, Kim Crutcher, Mark, Ron, Roy and Todd Crutcher.

Funeral services were held May 7, 2005, in the Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO, with Larry Smith officiating. Burial was in the Memphis Cemetery. Casket bearers were Bill Atwater, John Cook, Joe Fulk, Clark Mustoe, Phil Struble, and David Long. Vocalist was Lori Fulk accompanied by Ann Luther. Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO was in charge of arrangements.
