Harold Weldon Hunt, 87, of Vinton, IA, passed away peacefully at his home April 17, 2005, following a short illness.

Harold was born to Ronald and Anna Ralph Hunt on August 5, 1917, at Bible Grove, MO.

He married Lou Ann Eoff, November 11, 1946, at Memphis, MO.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the army. He was a farmer for many years and retired from Hawkbilt Machinery in Vinton, IA, where he was a welder.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lou Ann; a son, Linwood and wife, Sue of Vinton, IA; and grandchildren, Katrina Wood and husband, Rick of Vinton, IA, Michael Hunt and wife, Brittany, and Cortney Hunt, all of Vinton, IA; two great-grandchildren, Ben and Erin Wood, and a host of friends.

Services were held April 21, 2005, in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories at Cedar Rapids, IA. Burial with military rites by Manford American Legion Post No. 5 in Cedar Rapids, IA, was held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, April 21, 2005. Arrangements were by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, IA. Memorial donations may be given to Amenity Hospice of Cedar Rapids, IA, or to the Vinton ambulance service.
