DONNA FAE DOROTHY BOGATZKE
(6/18/1928-6/4/2005)



Donna Fae Dorothy Bogatzke, 76, of Memphis, Missouri died June 4, 2005 in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital. She was born June 18, 1928 at Manning, Iowa to Emil and Alverta Barten Mohr. She graduated from Manning High School, Class of 1946. She was united in marriage to Marvin Bogatzke, June 12, 1949 in the Zion Lutheran Church at Manning, Iowa. To this union two daughters and a son were born. Donna Fae was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Memphis, Missouri. She was active with the Ladies Aide while living in Manning. She was also a member of the Mr. and Mrs. Group. Donna Fae and Marvin moved to Memphis in 1977. She worked for 16 years at the Scotland County Care Center.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years of Memphis, daughters Gwena Fae Young and husband Larry of Omaha, Nebraska; and Pamela Joy Mickelson and husband David of Waukee, Iowa and a son Todd Marvin Bogatzke and wife Judy of St. James, Missouri. Four grandsons survive; Kurtis R. Bogatzke and wife Gretchen of Memphis, Missouri, Logan Bogatzke of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Matthew and Andrew Mickelson of Waukee, Iowa, and one granddaughter, Amanda Bogatzke of Memphis, MO. Five step-grandsons also survive, Nathan Cahill and wife Amanda, Christian Joshua Cahill, Jeffrey Todd Young and wife, Matthew Scott Young and family, and Randy Lee Young and family, one great-granddaughter Karley Bogatzke, and one step-great-grandson, Christian Cahill. She is also survived by many cousins, and other relatives all whom live in and around Manning, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in the Memphis Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Appold officiating. Vocalist will be Crystal Cotton and Shirley McKamie will be organist and violinist will be Alex McKamie.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 9, 2005 in the Zion Lutheran Church at Manning, Iowa.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Manning Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Vogel officiating. As an expression of sympathy memorials may be given to the Manning Cemetery or the American Cancer Society.

Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
