Terrance Dean “Terry” Hunt, 63, of LaGrange, MO formerly of Scotland County, died July 15, 2005, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinic in Columbia, MO.
He was born the son of Floyd A. and Mary Edith (Bradley) Hunt on January 16, 1942 in Washington, Iowa.
Mr. Hunt married the former Virginia Lee Martin in May of 1960.
He later married the former Katherine Neisen on May 18, 1996 in LaGrange, MO. She survives.
Mr. Hunt was a member of the Bible Grove (MO) Christian Church.
He was a graduate of Central Christian College in Moberly. Mr. Hunt was a manager at the Pepsi Cola Memphis Bottling Plant for 18-20 years. He had also been a seed salesman for 20 years. Mr. Hunt received numerous awards and honors during his many years in the seed business.
Mr. Hunt was currently employed as a truck driver, as well as driving a school bus for both the Quincy Public Schools and Culver Stockton College.
He enjoyed welding, and was an avid collector of toy cars and tractors.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Hunt.
He is survived by his wife; children: Rick and wife Tonya Hunt of Memphis, Greg and wife Breanne Hunt of Hurdland, and Chris and wife Andrea Hunt of Memphis; step-children: Tracy and her husband Toby Plaisance and Doug Wisehart of Cutoff, LA, Scott and his wife Kathy Wisehart of Ewing, and Amy Wisehart of LaGrange, MO; sisters, Bernice Forrester and Joan Frederick; grandchildren: Christina Hunt of Kirksville, Brad, Kegan, Caleb, and Lydia Hunt and Lacey and Justin Williams, all of Memphis; step-grandchildren: Terah, Tia, Tyke, and Tylen Plaisance and Nicholas Wisehart.
Funeral services were held July 19, 2005, at the First Christian Church in Memphis with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Melissa Miller and Ann Luther provided the music. Larry Frederick, Clinton Clark, Tom Hunt, Brad Hunt, Steve Downing, and David Peterson served as pallbearers. Christina, Brad, Kegan, Caleb, and Lydia Hunt, Justin and Lacey Williams, Terah, Tia, Tyke, and Tylen Plaisance, Nicholas Wisehart and George Frederick served as honorary pallbearers. Burial was in the Bible Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Bible Grove, MO.
