MARY ADELINE FRYREAR

Mary Adeline (Phillips) Ruggles Fryrear, 99, of Memphis, MO, formerly of Downing, MO, passed away July 19, 2005 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, MO.
Mary the daughter of William and Callie (Morris) Phillips, she was born January 15, 1906, on a farm northwest of Hitt, MO.
On December 30, 1925, she was married to Guy Ruggles and to this union four children were born, Helen, Doris, Derald, and Vernon.
On March 15, 1960, she was married to John Fryrear.
Mary was a member of the Barker United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mary worked as an assistant for Dr. Scheibe at the Bloomfield Clinic for many years.
Survivors include two sons-in-law, George Dorson of Colorado and Jack Riley of Wyoming; seven grandchildren, Carol Ann Farrell and family of Lancaster, MO, Bobby Gene Newland and family of Lancaster, MO, Billy Joe Newland and family of Kirksville, MO, Dwayne Allen Dorson and family of Gillette, WY, David Lynn Dorson and family of Gillette, WY, Floyd Jay Riley III and family of Gillette, WY, Stewart Ray Riley and family of Gillette, WY; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Preceding Mary in death were her parents; her husbands, Guy Ruggles and John Fryrear; two daughters, Doris (Dorson) Riley and Helen Newland; two sons, Derald and Vernon Ruggles; one son-in-law, Eugene Newland; and one granddaughter, Angel Lea Farrell.
Funeral services were held July 22, 2005, at the Downing Christian Church in Downing, MO, with Larry Smith, pastor of the church officiating. Music was provided by organist, Cheyrl Newland and soloists, Marie and Emily Newland. Pallbearers were Dwayne Dorson, David Dorson, Jay Riley, Stewart Riley, Bob Newland and Bill (B.J.) Newland. Memorials have been established for Richland Cemetery. Burial was in the Richland Cemetery, north of Crawford, MO.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Downing and Lancaster, MO.
