JAMES C. WOODSMALL

James C. Woodsmall, 91, of Sedalia, MO, died July 27, 2005, at the Sylvia Thompson Residence Center.

Mr. Woodsmall was born April 26, 1914, in Memphis, MO, the son of James C. Woodsmall, Sr. and Rachel Ellen Hammond Woodsmall.

On June 25, 1938, he married Lelia Frances Hunt, who preceded him in death on January 5, 1981.

Mr. Woodsmall graduated from Memphis High School in 1931. He graduated from Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO in 1936. He served in the Army during World War II. He was employed by the Missouri Division of Employment Security in Kansas City and Sedalia, MO from 1941 until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of the Broadway Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon and elder.

Surviving are two sons, Richard A. Woodsmall of Omaha, NE and James W. Woodsmall of Jefferson City, MO; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The body was donated to the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Sylvia Thompson Residence Center in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, 519 South Ohio Street, Sedalia, MO 65301.
