Willard W. “Buzz” Singleton, 64, of Bevier, MO, passed away August 27, 2005, at the Moberly Regional Hospital in Moberly, MO.

Willard was born April 25, 1941, in Detroit, MI, the son of Willard Watson and Thelma Fern Hargis Singleton.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Willard married Deanna Jean Bullock in Brookfield, MO.

Willard worked at the Bevier School for several years. He enjoyed working in the yard, building things, woodworking, playing the guitar, listening to music, and especially his grandson, Jay. Willard will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Willard is survived by his wife, Deanna, of the home; two sons, Anthony of Columbia, MO, and Scott of Bevier, MO; three grandchildren, Anthony Braden, Jay, and Amber; six step-grandchildren; one brother, James Singleton of Mexico, MO; two sisters, Gloria Cooper of Moberly, MO, and Barbara Gibson of Princeton, LA; and his father-in-law, Vern Bullock of Memphis, MO; one brother-in-law, Gary Bullock and wife, Karen of Bevier, MO; three sisters-in-law, Sherry Bullock of Aurora, CO, Jo Sepplet and her husband, Bob also of Aurora, CO, Kathy Laird and her husband, Steve of Burlington, IA, several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Junior; one sister, Debbie Welch; and mother-in-law, Dorothy.

Graveside services will be Friday, September 2, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at West Oakwood Cemetery in Bevier, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2005, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Bevier, MO. The family suggests memorials to the Willard Singleton Memorial Fund, which may be left at the funeral home.
