Tigers Take Key League Win Over Clark County

A second half rally helped the Scotland County campus bowl team capture a key conference victory March 14 in a 220-150 win over Clark County.

The Tigers trailed much of the first two periods before taking a slim 85-80 advantage on the final question of the opening half.

SCR-I pulled away with a 60-30 run in the third period and held on for the 220-150 victory.

Julie Triplett led the team in scoring, answering seven toss-up questions. Lance Smith answered six and Loren Billington and Michelle Lodewegen each answered two.

The junior high team was not as fortunate. The younger squad lost to Clark County 345-190. Brett Courtright had 50 points to lead the scoring. Christina Duzan added 40 points and Nathan Purvis and Jeff Kice each answered one toss-up.
