Tigers Fall Five Points Short In Quiz Bowl Action

A late rally fell just five points short as the Scotland County campus bowl team dropped a Tri-Rivers Conference match to Putnam County April 12th.

The Tigers found themselves trailing 200-140 with just five questions remaining. The deficit was 220-190 on the final query. SCR-I had to get all 30 points possible on the question, but came up one bonus answer short, falling to the Midgets 220-215.

Julie Triplett led the team in scoring with 90 points. Lance Smith added 30 points and Michelle Lodewegen contributed 20 points.

The SCR-I junior high team was victorious 350-305. Brett Courtright led all scorers by answering 13 toss-up questions. Zachary Mallet had four answers and Ben Wiley added two.
