Lady Tigers Burn Up the Track At Eddyville Relays

Being limited to just 10 athletes did not stop the Scotland County girls track team from finishing third at the Eddyville Relays April 19 in Eddyville, IA. Despite missing several normal contributors, SCR-I still racked up 79 points to tie Pleasantville for third place in the Class B standings at the event. HLV won the meet with 162 followed by Wayne with 88. The Lady Tigers finished ahead of Keota and Southern Warren.

Angie Bulen turned in a strong day. She won the discus with a throw of 105. She turned in a second place performance in the shot put, clearing 28.

SCR-I also got first place points from Leslie Duley who won the 3,000-meter run in 12:31. Duley finished third in the 1,500-meter run and teammate Kelsey Sears was fourth.

Sears was fifth in the 800-meter run behind Kelly Cochenour who took fourth place for SCR-I. Kirsten Johnston finished third in the 400-meter run and Ciera Turner was fourth.

Ali Fromm took second place in the 200-meter dash.

Ashlie Cooper finished sixth in the long jump.

SCR-I relay teams finished second in the distance medley, third in the 4x400, fifth in the 4x100 and sixth in the sprint medley.
