SCR-I Girls Finish Sixth At Clark County Relays

The Scotland County girls track team finished seventh in the talented 12-team field at the Clark County Relays. Clark County won the event with 129 points finishing ahead of Palmyra (121) and Monroe City (111).

The rest of the field was locked in a battle for fourth place which ultimately went to Putnam County, which was two points better than South Shelby.

The Lady Tigers finished ahead of Highland (43), West Hancock (30), Knox County (24), Schuyler County (14), North Shelby (10) and Canton (0).

SCR-I earned second place points in three events to lead the team to its 52-point total. Leslie Duley was second in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 6:22. She also earned second place in the 3,200 meter run, crossing the finish line in 13 minutes and 32 seconds. Ali Fromm had the team’s other 8-point performance, taking second in the 300-meter hurdles in 51.34 seconds.

Angie Bulen finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 87’10.25”. Kirsten Johnston took fifth place in the 400-meter run. Jamie Fuller was seventh in the 100-meter dash while Kelsey Sears finished seventh in the 1,600-meter run.

The Lady Tigers relay squads earned fourth in the 4x200, 4x400 and 4x800 relays.
