Tigers Take 2nd Place at Conference Golf Tourney

Brookfield was the best team in the Tri-Rivers Conference, at least the team was on May 3 when a balanced team effort led Brookfield to the Tri-Rivers Conference golf title with a score of 340. That was 2 strokes better than runner-up Scotland County.

Schuyler County finished third in the conference meet with a 375 followed by Putnam County (388) and Clark County (404). Andy Herington’s tournament best 75 wasn’t enough to land Milan better than a sixth place finish.

Senior Kyle Lister led the Tigers effort with a round of 86. Zach McBee shot an 89 while Marcus Shalley carded a 93. All three were in the top 12 individual scores in the event to earn all-conference consideration. Matt Wickert and Joe Spurgeon both shot 97s for SCR-I.
