Tigers Finish Fourth At Warrior Relays

Greg Neagle took top honors in the shot put as the Scotland County boys track team finished fourth at the Warrior Relays in Van Buren County on May 2nd.

The senior’s best throw of 46’2” was more than two feet farther than the runner up. The big tally helped the Tigers finish the day with 47 points overall.

Pekin won the event with a score of 146. New London was second with 125 followed by WACO at 121. SCR-I finished ahead of Cardinal, Harmony and Winfield-Mt. Union.

Other top performances were turned in by Tim Robinson and Casey Parrish. Robinson threw 119’6” to take second in the discus. The senior also was fifth in the long jump.

Parrish finished the 1,600 meter run in 4:55.12 to take second place.

Chris Humes took fourth place in the 200-meter dash and B.J. Houghton was fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles. Lance Norton finished fourth in the 800-meter run.

Humes, Chris Holt, Parrish and Robinson combined to finish fourth in the 4x400 meter relay.
