Lady Tigers Finish 9th At District Track Meet

The Scotland County Lady Tigers finished ninth in the 15-team field at the Class 2 District #7 track meet held in Brookfield on May 14th.

Clark County won the district title with 129.5 points to best Marceline (91) and South Shelby (75).

The Lady Tigers compiled 33 points. Ali Fromm finished second in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 16.80 to qualify for the state meet.

Leslie Duley earned the team third place points in the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs. Kirsten Johnston was fourth in the 400-meter run while Fromm finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.

SCR-I got eighth place points from Kelly Cochenour in the 800-meter run, Kelsey Sears in the 1,600-meter run and the 4x100-meter relay team of Valerie Crawford, Jamie Fuller, Fromm and Johnston.
