Putnam County Knocks Off JV Football Team

The Scotland County junior varsity football team saw a shot at its first victory of the year disappear as Schuyler County overcame a halftime deficit to knock off the Tigers 26-16 on September 26.

Coach Nathan Pippert stated the team continues to improve after dropping games to Clark County and South Shelby; pointing to the improvement off the offensive line play by Tyler Henstorf, Chad Consbrock, Cody Gundy, Tyler Troutman and Bradley Hamner. Pippert also praised the play of freshman quarterback Caleb Kittle and sophomore runningbacks Eric Glass, Jeff Kice and Ben Wiley.

The Tigers fell to 0-4 with a 40-0 loss to Putnam County October 3rd.

The Tigers will play at Knox County October 10th to close out the season. The game scheduled for October 17th versus North Shelby has been canceled.
