Lady Tigers End Season With Win

It took a strong finish but the Scotland County softball team closed out the 2005 regular season with a come-from behind 5-2 victory over Schuyler County October 3rd, in Queen City.

SCR-I fell behind 2-0 in the first inning. The Lady Tigers cut the deficit to 2-1 on a triple by Ali Fromm in the second inning.

Scotland County trailed until the sixth inning when Kirsten Johnston and Jamie Fuller got base hits and scored.

SCR-I added some insurance in the seventh inning with Kellyn Wickert and Lacey Jack recording base hits and scoring to make the final margin 5-2.

Karra Small picked up the victory. She gave up five hits and walked three while striking out 11 to finish the year on a high note.

Scotland County ended the year with a 9-13 record and 2-5 in the Tri-Rivers Conference.
