Parks Group To Meet Tonight To Discuss Repairs

The Memphis Parks Committee will meet at Johnson Park July 26th at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the conditions of the city parks.

A tour of Johnson and Legion Parks at the end of June generated a list of needed improvements. Committee members will meet with city officials and members of the public to discuss options for repairs and improvements at the parks.

The initial review recommended painting and cleaning at both parks. Johnson Park needed bleacher repairs and one shelter roof was in need of improvement or replacement.

The Legion Park review found the rest rooms in need of repair and general painting and maintenance requirements for the playground equipment.
