Scotland County Antique Fair Results Announced

Parade floats – trophy awarded, first place only: first, youth – Jolly Jacks and Jills 4-H; first, church – First Baptist Church, Memphis; first, commercial – Scotland County Memorial Hospital.

Parade bands, trophy awarded first place only: first place, Schuyler County R-I, Darla Dixon director; second, Scotland County R-I, Jamie Hicks director.

Window displays, $25.00 cash award: first place individual category, Angela Newman, Mary Ann Robertson, and Michele Drummond, Memphis City Hall; first place business/organization category, Farley’s, old movie legends building.

Draft horse pull – 10 teams competed for first place trophy-overall winner, Ryan Smith from Clark, pulling 10,500 pounds.

Quilt show – 25 total quilts entered, first place $50.00 to Hazel Buford; second place $25.00 to Thelma Gaffney; third place $25.00 to Elaine Forrester.

Raffle winners: Thursday night $100.00 to Janet Hamilton; Friday night $100.00 to Lisa Wells; Saturday night $100.00 to Beverly Moore.
