Greentop Man Hurt In Wreck On Route T

A Greentop man sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Route T in Scotland County at 12:50 p.m. on September 30.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Daniel R. Blaine, 61, was westbound on Route T in a 2001 Ford when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle returned to the roadway and the driver overcorrected, forcing the vehicle of the left side of the roadway where it impacted a tree head-on.

Blaine was extricated from the vehicle by the Scotland County Rescue Squad. He suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital. He was then airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department, the rescue squad and the ambulance service.
