Bloomfield, Iowa Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash on Highway 136

A Bloomfield, IA, man sustained fatal injuries in a one-vehicle accident in Scotland County at 3:00 p.m. on October 8th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Oscar A. Tedrow, 70, was eastbound on Highway 136, approximately 5 miles west of Memphis, on a 1976 Honda Goldwing motorcycle when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times, ejecting the driver.

Tedrow was treated at the scene by the Scotland County Ambulance service. The AirEvac helicopter landed at the scene and flew Tedrow to University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. Dr. Jonathan Simmons pronounced Tedrow dead at 12:33 a.m. October 9th.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department and the ambulance service.
