Gorin Woman Hurt In Thanksgiving Day Crash
A Thanksgiving day motor-vehicle accident left a Gorin woman with serious injuries following a two-car crash at 3:15 p.m. on Route A, two miles south of Arbela.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Robert E. Logsdon, 52, of Williamstown, was northbound on Route A in a 2005 Chevrolet pickup when the vehicle made a left turn into the path of a southbound 2002 Chevrolet being driven by Sharra J. Krise, 24, of Muscatine, IA.
The two vehicles collided in the southbound lane with the impact forcing both off the roadway into a private drive.
Rebecca G. Krise, 47, of Gorin, the mother of the driver in the Krise car, suffered serious injuries in the accident. She was flown from the scene by the Air Evac helicopter to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Chloe L. Krise, 1, the daughter of the driver, suffered minor injuries as did her mother. Both were transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital.
Logsdon was not injured in the crash. He was cited for careless and imprudent driving.
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the ambulance service, the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department, Gorin Fire Department and Scotland County Fire & Rescue as well as first responders from the area.
