Larry “Tiny” Eddingfield, 57, Gautier, MS, was born March 7, 1949, in Kirksville, MO, the son of Meredith “Cap” and Anna Egbert Parrish. He passed away March 16, 2006, at Ocean Springs, MS.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joan; his parents, Cap and Anna Parrish; a brother, Jeff and Kim, Kelsey and Cameron Parrish, El Dorado Springs, MO; three sons and one daughter, John Shields and wife, Darci, Judy Watkins and husband, Tony, Jimmy Shields and Jay Eddingfield; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Ian and Ivy Shields, Marie, Amber, Amanda and Jacquelin Watkins, Brittany and Alec Eddingfield; and seven great-grandkids.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Arthur and Eunice Egbert, and Albert and Grace Parrish.

Larry graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1968. Larry was a US Navy veteran during having served the Vietnam War. Larry had been a resident of Jackson County, MS for 36 years. Larry was currently employed with Northrup Grumman Shipbuilding for 36 years in the Test and Trials Department.

He was a life member of American Legion Post 160 and VFW in Pascagoula and the Elks lodge #2501 in Ocean Springs.

Services were held March 19, 2006, under the direction of O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Gautier, MS. Memorials can be made to NASCAR Victory Junction Gang, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, NC 27317, ( or Century #2501 Elks Lodge or the American Legion Post 160.
