Reeder Walker Marsden, 96, of Cantril, IA, formerly of the Azen area in northeast Scotland County, MO, passed away on July 19, 2006, at his home in Cantril, IA.

Reeder was born on September 10, 1909, in Stronghurst, IL, the son of Joel and Ida Burrell Marsden.

Reeder farmed and was custodian at the Scotland County Grade School for many years. After retiring from there he worked at The Catfish Place. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #16 A.F. & A.M. of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Joel (J.W.) Marsden and Tom Marsden; one daughter, Judy Russell Marsden; and three sisters.

Reeder is survived by one son, Howard Marsden and wife, Donna of Macon, MO; two daughters, Sue Sommers and husband, Bob of Luray, MO, and Carol Eller of Memphis, MO.

Memorial services were held July 22, 2006, at Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis with Rev. Terry Lippstreu, officiating.
