RONALD L. GUTTING, SR.

Ronald L. Gutting, Sr., 67, of Wyaconda passed away on November 7, 2006, at his home in Wyaconda.

He was born the son of Earl and Lula (Horton) Gutting on March 4, 1939 in Keokuk, Iowa.

Ronald and Dixie Gutting were married on November 11, 1974 in Blandinsville, IL. She survives.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying coon hunting. Fishing was his passion. He spent his free time tinkering with cars and collecting arrowheads. Ronald especially loved horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronnie Jay Gutting; an infant daughter, Candy Sue Gutting; brothers Vance, Verl and Vaden Gutting; and a sister, Veda Gutting.

He is survived by his wife Dixie of the home; children Ronald Lee Gutting and his wife Dawn of Kahoka, Rhonda Gutting of Florida, Verle Dean Gutting and his wife Darlene of Wayland, Tony Gutting and his wife Tracy Washburn of Kahoka, Ginger Gutting of Virginia, Betty McCoy and husband Brian of LaHarpe, IL, Bobbie Jo Benner and husband Lonnie D. of Monticello, MO, and Joann Rainbolt of Wyaconda; a sister, Claire Summerall of Ottumwa; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held November 10, 2006, at the Gerth Funeral Home in Wyaconda. Hospice Chaplain Norman Snowbarger officiated the service with a special message provided by Delbert Scobee. Brian, Jeremy, and Jordan McCoy, Toby Washburn, Lonnie D. Benner, and Kevin Clinkenbeard served as pallbearers. Lonnie J. Benner and Sean Rainbolt were honorary pallbearers. Burial was in the Chambersburg (MO) Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the family and may be left at or mailed to Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO 63555.
