Ernest M. Forquer, 85, of Memphis, MO, passed away at the Scotland County Care Center, Memphis, MO, December 13, 2006.

He was born on April 7, 1921, in Scotland County, Missouri, the son of Isas Martin and Mary E. Henry Forquer.

Ernie was known for driving his Ford and Allis-Chalmers tractors. He was dedicated to the Antique Fair. He would sell more buttons than anyone else before and during the Antique Fairs when he was able. You could always find him in his red barn on the courthouse lawn during the Antique Fair Days. Ernie was the Grand Marshal for the Antique Fair Days in 2000.

Ernie loved to collect license plates, he even had a license plate with his name.

For the last seven years Ernie lived at the Scotland County Care Center, where he enjoyed playing Bingo, and visiting with his family and friends about antique shows around the area. As long as he was able, he attended the shows while living there.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Ernie is survived by several cousins and a host of friends.

The family has suggested memorials to the Antique Fair Association or to the Scotland County Care Center. They may mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, MO 63555.

Funeral Services were held on December 15, 2006 at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis, MO, with Rev. Charles Hammack officiating. Musicians were Shelly Kramer and Shannon Stone.

Pallbearers were Jim Henry, Bob Neese, David Wiggins, Doug Brandt, Mike Cantril, and Sterling Forrester. Interment was in the Greensburg Cemetery, Greensburg, MO.

Arrangements were under the direction of Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO.
