Bulen, Fromm Combine For 37 Points In Lady Tigers Victory

A pair of seniors helped the Scotland County Lady Tigers remain undefeated in Tri-Rivers Conference play with a 44-33 victory over Putnam County on January 27th in Unionville.

Angie Bulen and Ali Fromm combined for all but six of the Lady Tigers’ points in the win.

Scotland County jumped out to a 13-6 lead in the first period before Putnam County rallied to pull within two at 19-17 at the intermission.

Fromm poured in seven points and Bulen had five in the third period as the Lady Tigers extended the margin to 31-25.

SCR-I then sealed the game at the free-throw line. The Lady Tigers hit six of seven from the charity stripe in the game’s final minutes to preserve the 43-33 win. For the game, Scotland County was 16-23 at the line.

Bulen finished with 19 points to pace SCR-I. Fromm finished with 18. Jamie Fuller had three points, but finished the game with 10 assists.

SCR-I improved to 11-7 and 2-0 in league play. Putnam County (4-10, 1-2) was led in scoring by Brittany Cassiday with 10 points.
