Campus Bowl Team Remains Unbeaten In League Play

The Scotland County campus bowl team improved to 4-0 in the Tri-Rivers Conference with a 350-170 win. The Tigers made it three wins in three nights to stay atop the league standings by beating Brookfield March 16th.

The Tigers trailed for the first time in three matches when Brookfield jumped out to an early lead in the first period. But the Tigers rallied to pull ahead 50-40.

The game was tied early in the second quarter before SCR-I took charge of the contest with a 50-0 run on the final three bonus questions to lead 160-100 at the break.

Brookfield never got closer than 50 points in the second half as Scotland County remained unbeaten.

Julie Triplett answered eight toss-up questions to lead the scoring. Michelle Lodewegen answered four questions while Lance Smith and Loren Billington answered three questions and Ben Wiley had one.

Brookfield secured a split with a 305-130 win in the junior high game despite Zach Mallett’s seven-answer performance.
