Three All-Bowl Performers Lead SCR-I To Trophy

A trio of all-bowl team performers helped the Scotland County campus bowl team bring home a trophy from the Schuyler County junior varsity campus bowl tourney March 29 in Queen City.

SCR-I dropped the opening game to eventual champion Brookfield by a score of 385-345. Christina Duzan answered eight toss-up questions while Spencer Keller answered seven and both Zach Mallett and Kelly Lister answered four.

The two teams were tied after three periods and SCR-I led 325-315 with just five questions remaining before Brookfield pulled out the win.

The Tigers dropped into the consolation bracket where they demolished Brookfield’s B team 470-80 to secure the consolation trophy.

Keller scored 140 points to lead Scotland County. Mallett answered four toss-up questions as did Dylan Gelbach.

Keller, Duzan and Mallett were named to the all-bowl team based on their scoring averages in the event.
