Tigers Golfers Take Title At Milan Invitational

The Scotland County golf team continued its winning ways in 2006, bringing home a championship from the Milan Invitational held April 20th.

The Tigers took top honors by carding a team score of 325 to easily outdistance runner-up Milan, which shot a 345. SCR-I also bested teams from Princeton, Clark County, Marceline and Trenton.

Marcus Shalley finished the 18-hole round with a score of 78 to lead Scotland County. That was the second best score of the day. Milanís Andy Harrington took medalist honors with a 69.

Matt Wickert and Kyle Lister each carded rounds of 82 and Joe Spurgeon and Travis Trueblood finished with rounds of 83 to earn fourth through seventh spot on the individual scoring list.
